Process Games

General questions relating to the LSAT Logic Games.

I've been taking old LSAT preptests and have noticed a few "process" games, such as the game where the chemicals were mixed, as another test prep company calls them. However I have been using Powerscore's prep method and was wondering how to best find examples or explanations to prepare for these type of games. Thanks!

Hi test-taker,

That game is a Pattern game, but a specific type of one where the rules are so restrictive that only a limited number of outcomes exist. Thus, the best approach to that particular game, and other Pattern games that are similar (such as the June 1994 #4 game about plans and choices), is to Identify the Possibilities and show all the solutions.

If you are using the Logic Games Bible, check out the Pattern Games section in Chapter 7, and the Limited Solution Set Games section in Chapter 8.
