For this question,

What does it mean, "draws a weaker conclusion than is warranted by the strength of its premises." What will an example look like?

Will B be correct if the conclusion claimed that students will be served well in life if they took some philosophy course based on premises about ALL philosophy courses teaching students how to write?

Hello,

An example that would make answer choice (B) correct would be if the stimulus said that "since all philosophy courses teach students how to write, some students will be served well by taking any philosphy course."

This is a weaker conclusion than what is warranted because written this way, the stimulus establishes upthat any (as in all) students who take a philosphy course will be served well later in life. If instead we say only that "some" will be served, we're kind of underselling the strength of the philosphy courses here - it's not some students, its all students who take a philosophy course.

Does that make sense?
