I took lsat October 2013, February 2014, and September 2014.

I didn't know about the rule of lsac limiting the number of tests that I could take.

I registered December 2014 lsat with the payment of $170.

That would be the 4th time that I would take lsat within 2 years.

Did this happen to other students for lsac allowing them to register it for the 4th time?

What happened to them?

I don't even know how I was capable of registering December 2014 lsat to begin with.

Can I register 2015 February lsat if I postpone dec lsat?

Am I absolutely against the rule of lsac to take December 2014 lsat?

Hi reop6780,

I believe LSAC's online system does not actually prevent you from registering; instead, the policy is enforced once you have already registered. See the LSAC website, http://www.lsac.org/jd/lsat/about-the-lsat/:
"LSAC reserves the right to cancel your registration, rescind your admission ticket, or take any other steps necessary to enforce this policy."

I would not recommend violating the policy by taking the LSAT a fourth time; instead, you might consider taking the October 2015 exam. It must be very frustrating to be in the position of having to wait, but LSAC, under the above policy, is unlikely to score your exam even if you do take it.

LSAC also specifies at the website above the procedures to seeking an exception to the rule; you'll have to decide whether you think you have some extenuating circumstances they might consider: "For significant extenuating circumstances, exceptions to this policy may be made by LSAC. To request an exception, submit a signed, detailed explanation—along with verification, if possible—addressing the circumstances that you feel make you eligible to retake the LSAT and specify the date that you wish to test. Email your request as an attachment to LSACinfo@LSAC.org or send it by fax to 215.968.1277."

Best of luck.
