In an assumption question the stimulus can contain a conditional statement. Can the correct ANSWER choice ever be a conditional statement?

Yes, it can. Here's a classic example, using abstract conditional relationships:

Stimulus:
  • Premise: A :arrow: B

    Conclusion: A :arrow: C
Correct answer in an Assumption question:
  • B :arrow: C

In hindsight, the full argument looked like:
  • Premise: A :arrow: B

    Assumption: B :arrow: C


    Conclusion: A :arrow: C
