Venn Diagrams

What are your thoughts on using Venn diagrams to conceptualize conditional relationships?

Hi Snuggs,

While I personally love the visual power of Venn, the problem during the LSAT is the time consumed and the problems with perfect representation of the relationships. Thus, we don't use Venn, and we actually posted a lengthy article about the Limitations of Venn Diagramming in our Free LSAT Help Area: http://www.powerscore.com/lsat/help/venn_limits.cfm

Instead of Venn, we use a system of arrows that is explained in our courses, and to a lesser extent in the LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible (Chapter 11 about Formal Logic, if I recall correctly).

Okay, I read the article and it makes perfect sense. Now I have to stop myself from thinking in Venn!
I'm in the process of going through the LR Bible (as well as the RC and LG Bibles) and had until recently been training myself to think in arrows but the Venn easier. After reading the article I can see why; because it's completely inadequate.
