I really don't like the language in answer choice (D). This group of reformers are not advocating "making the law more responsive." Instead, they are proposing a solution that may enable people who have been excluded or didn't present their argument effectively in the legal discourse. There is a clear difference between intervening the law and changing a method in order to make it more fit into the law. Can you clarify the reasoning here?

Hi Coleman!

The last paragraph offers several areas that support the idea of "making the law more responsive to the discursive practices of a wide variety of people":

"personal stories may convince legal insiders for the first time to listen to those not fluent in legal language"
"The compelling force of personal narrative can create a sense of empathy between legal insiders and people traditionally excluded from legal discourse"
"alternative narratives can shatter the complacency of the legal establishment"
"forming a new collectivity based on emotional empathy"

All of these excerpts place an emphasis on getting the people responsible for making and interpreting laws to listen to and empathize with people they would not typically interact with. This would make the law more responsive to these groups.

Hope this helps!

Best,
Kelsey
