Accordingly, the only complete assignment of paralegals to Raimes would be either F only, or G only. Hence, answer choice (A) is the correct answer.

Hi! I'm having a hard time understanding why F/G must be assigned to Raimes specifically, why couldn't F/G go to Thompson, with two paralegals each on the two other cases (so the 2-2-1 distribution remains in effect?)? Thank you!

In this question, it wouldn't work to have F or G assigned as the sole paralegal to the Thompson case, because the question stem itself says that "exactly two of the paralegals are assigned to the Thompson case." So that forces us to distribute two paralegals to Thompson. Since H is assigned to Sicoli (per the global rules), that means the only case that can have F/G as a sole paralegal is Raimes (per the setup in the explanation above).
