Hi PowerScore,

I am applying to NYU Law School. I have my application complete and ready to send, but I am unsure if I should wait to send it. I am starting an internship in December with a judge in New York City who works at NYU Law. I'm not sure how to list an upcoming internship on my resume or otherwise indicate this connection. Do you think this connection is beneficial for my chances of admission, and do you think I should indicate this upcoming internship on my application or resume now, or should I wait until December when I start the program to apply? Thanks in advance!

I think you should include it on the resume now and go ahead and submit your application. I don't think including it will make much of a difference either way, but it's still something worth noting, and once you start the internship you can let your judge know that you have applied to their alma mater, giving them the chance to volunteer to put in a good word once you have shown them how awesome you are!
