Hello! I am compiling my resume to give to my Recommenders and to use for my applications. If I am currently still in a position should I still use action verbs to describe my duties?

You should always use action verbs, no? Are you asking whether you should vary the tense of the verbs based on you still having the position?

Hi there!

Yes, it's usually a good idea to use action verbs on your resume, even if you are currently in the position. You should, however, adjust the tense of your verbs. For example, let's say one of your duties is to create project budgets.

If you have completed the position, say: created project budgets.
If you are currently in the position, say: create project budgets.

Hope that helps!
