Hello!

For my personal statement hook (first few sentences), I'm currently using something that I wrote and published in a newspaper. I'm fairly certain this isn't allowed and expect to change it, but I am wondering if a) there's any way this is allowed, and b) if it would reflect poorly on me even if it is allowed?

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi sampoint,

Thank you for the post! Make sure that you cite your published source, and be sure to make it clear that you are citing your own work. This will remove any instance of plagiarism and should not reflect poorly on you. :)

Thank you!
