Has anyone thought of taking the JD Next as more schools will accept it going forward? https://www.spiveyconsulting.com/blog-p ... fall-2024/. Or will scholarships be more tied more to those who take the LSAT?
Good question! Most likely, we aren’t going to see any real impact from this and other LSAT-optional/alternative policies for quite some time. We believe schools are going to be extremely wary and selective with whom they allow in under these new “qualifications” until it’s well established that they’re a viable replacement for the LSAT and a reliable predictor of success, so we expect it’ll be a lot like the GRE adoption: slow to gain traction and limited in scope and volume for the first year or two, minimum.
Hope this helps!
