I chose answer (C) because it mentions a difference between the fruit fly and humans, that polarity occurs before fertilization, while for humans it happens later. Why is this incorrect, and compared with answer (D) why is it correct? Is it because (D) relates to the main point more, that developmental mechanisms are similar, but polarity is different?

LSAT2018,

(C) is wrong because the passage says that nematodes and some simple vertebrates have evenly distributed p-granules or a similar process, but that fruit flies and humans do not use that process.

(D) is right because the passage states that polarity is not comparable but that later system development (which would include things like visual systems) can be compared.
