2019 Bible Pg. 390 Typhlodromus

Hi,

When you explain question 22, choice (D) ("This is not given as a factor in why the Typhlodromus mite is an effective predator"), your italics makes me feel that (D) is mentioned in the passage but it is not mentioned as a factor explaining T's effectiveness. But I am not sure whether (D) is mentioned in the passage. My understanding of (D) is: Cyclamen mites are always available for T to eat them. But the passage says that during winter, there are not many cyclamen mites left and that T eat "aphids and white flies" instead, which I interpreted as: T has no choice but to eat other things because Cyclamen mites are not available as T's food supply (though it is possible that some Ts still eat Cs). Please let me know whether my interpretation is correct (which makes (D) not mentioned in the passage).

Thank you,
Harry

Hi Harry!

I can tell you're definitely reading your RCB closely!

I agree with your interpretation regarding answer choice (D) in question #22. :)

Best,
Kelsey
