Hi,

So I chose C because I liked it the best, but I'm still not sure about "begins using a new type of strapping..." because Ford is the one who made it available, but not sure he "used" it...so I was not sure it matches. Can I ask your opinions?
The latter part match because the other person used it for purpose that was not originally intended for right?(authomobile art)

Noguchi is the one who used Ford's chrome-nickel steel, for a new, innovative purpose, just as the climber in answer C used the strapping material invented by the producer.

Can you explain why B is incorrect? I thought maybe the shoe manufactuer could possibly be Fuller in this case?

Thanks for the question! You are right that the shoe manufacturer could be Fuller in the case of answer choice (B); unfortunately, the question asks us about the relationship between Ford and Noguchi, not Fuller and Noguchi. The shoe manufacturer wouldn't be a good conduit for Ford, which is what makes (B) incorrect.

Now I understand why C is the best answer. But I initially thought the "commercially available" is too general but the "safty ropes for climbing" is too specific to match. Could please you explain why this doesn't matter, if we don't do the process of elimination? Thanks!

I don't see those aspects as too general or too specific, but feel free to embellish on why you believe that to be the case. Answer choice (C) refers to a "producer of shipping containers begins using a new type of strapping material." That matches up pretty well with Ford, who had just made chrome-nickel steel commercially available (see lines 33-36). In addition, that material is then used by a rock climbing expert for rock climbing. That matches up well with Noguchi, who can be seen as an expert who used the new materials within his field of expertise.
