Hi - I feel silly asking a question about a main point question but I am really confused as to why D is right over B. I see why D is arguably right, but in my opinion, I felt B was stronger because it summarized the whole passage, rather than D which only discusses the last paragraph.

Hello allik@umich.edu,

Answer B is very general and doesn't even include the word "patent". Answer D is much more focused, and includes the idea that patents are maybe not so bad after all, which seems to describe the thrust of the passage pretty well.
