I don't see how D weakens the answer, how does losing local industries weaken the argument? You are still receiving superior honey and does that not imply large corps would take over?

Hi saiffshaikhh!

The conclusion to this stimulus is the second sentence: "Therefore, there is no reason to fear that domestic commercial honey production will decline in the United States if local honeybees are displaced by Africanized honeybees."

Answer choice (D) states that "In the United States a significant proportion of the commercial honey supply comes from hobby beekeepers, many of whom are likely to abandon beekeeping with the influx of Africanized bees." If this answer choice were true, it's saying a "significant proportion" of commercial honey production would decline if local honeybees are displaced by Africanized honeybees. That weakens the conclusion that "there is no reason to fear" such decline because it's saying that the mentioned decline could likely occur.
