One of the author's complaints about the old system is that it is slow. Knowing that this new system is fast shows an advantage over the old system, thus strengthening the claim that it would be good to switch to the new system.

Basically, anything that shows the new system having an advantage over the old one is what we should be looking for, cici5579. The argument already dealt with one advantage - unlike the old system, it will detect even unusual strains.
