Before getting to the answer choices I want to understand that the flawed reasoning in the argument is circular reasoning?

Hi ChicaRosa,

The flaw here is assuming that something that applies to the larger group will apply in the same way to a subset of that group. See if you can approach this question again with that in mind and figure it out. :)

Hi Emily,

Your explanation helped me find the right answer (A) because nurses are a small a sample of professional persons and the conclusion is misapplying a characteristic (self-employed) to the majority of nurses based on a large % of professional persons.
