Hello.

I chose A but was stuck with B for a moment because of the wording in the stim leading up to the conclusion. If I were to change the final 2 sentences to:

But as Justin, our CFO, pointed out in the meeting, Ace Manufacturing has a long-standing commitment to keep staff in positions where they have demonstrated long-term achievements, regardless of their interests. Therefore, we should reject her proposal.

Would that be sufficient enough for answer choice (B) to be correct?

TIA

Hi haganskl,

You'd still have some problems with answer choice (B). Answer choice (B) says that you are defending an action based on the fact that you've done it before many times. What action specifically is being advocated here? It's the rejection of the proposal. Ultimately, that's what the director wants to happen. However, even with your edits, it isn't saying the proposal should be rejected because we typically reject proposals. It's saying the proposal should be rejected because it isn't in line with the company's values (or what the director believes are the company's values).

Hope that helps!
