Hey Jackie,

We're told that normally, water doesn't fill fast enough to fully flood a ship by the time it reaches the ocean floor. So, either the water filled this ship abnormally fast, or there must be another explanation (sabatoge). With MBT questions like this, you are specifically told to narrow your scope - the question stem says "which of the following must be true on the basis of the information above." So while you might be right in that there could be other explanations out there, in this particular instance the stimulus is specifically directing you to consider only the information you are presented. That's why it's especially important to understand what each question type is asking you and how the answer choices relate to the stimulus. If this was a weakening question, you absolutely might be looking for an answer choice that introduces another source of flooding, but that's not applicable here.
