Hello, I understand that B is correct but from my understanding of inference questions, any part of the argument, even if it is not the main point could be correct, as long as it is supported by the passage, which is why I chose A. It seems to me that the principle does believe at least some students were involved in the throwing of raisins. I’ve learned that many = some= at least 1, possibly all. Please let me know if I have that part wrong.

For (A), the principal doesn't mention the number of raisin-throwers. Just as a traffic jam can be caused by a single car, the cafeteria incident also could have been caused by a single misbehaving student.
