Hey Saiff,

Sure, the owner could have changed allegience since the last election, but the fact remains that in the last election (presumably the one that got this Mayor into her position or helped her retain it) that owner supported the Mayor's opponent. If the Mayor is motivated by rewarding her political supporters, why would she help out someone who didn't support her? That gives the most support for answer choice (B), because it directly counters Marion's premise as to the Mayor's motivations.

In comparison to answer choice (C) - this could be true, and it still wouldn't weakon Marion's point. Let's say Azco is completely unbiased - so what? The Mayor might still want to reward the owner for supporting her, adn Marion's point stands.
