Question 14, is this an Assumption Question, and if so had I did the Assumption negation technique would I have come up with the correct answer .
I did the Negating technique with answer choice C and it attacks the argument yet it is not the correct answer. Please explain.

Hi Kappe,

The assumption in this question (the missing link) is that the donut eater will not eat anything besides the four donuts. Answer Choice D goes right at that.

Answer Choice C is not really relevant: the stimulus does not talk about overall health--only about *calories*. As such, C should be tossed out.

What about choice A? Why doesn't this work?

The issue with answer choice (A) is that the stimulus isn't concerned with "health impact," but only typical calories consumed in a single sitting. So any answer choice relating to health as opposed to calories is a red herring and irrelevant to the argument.
