Can I please receive some explanation regarding questions 12 which is part of the Logical Reasoning Problem Set #1.

#12: "How do the airlines expect to prevent... ." I picked answer choice C over D because of the denial test. However, D is correct. Please explain.

Answer choice C is not too bad, but maybe a little bit conclusory, e.g., that plane crashes will definitely decrease if the training schools offer more flying time. Can we predict for sure?
Answer D is much better, though. It is less conclusory, and just says that flying time is an important factor. (Among other things, pilots could get flying time on their own, not through the official pilot schools; this is another thing that hurts answer C.) Also, answer D focuses on pilot error, tracking what the stimulus says, instead of leaping ahead to assume that crashes will automatically be reduced.
