The question lays out 2 diagrams U-->I & I--->R(crossed out)

Answer d seems to be mistaken negation.

I ---> Aware (instead of unaware)

the I is not negated? I thought it would have to be negated too?

Hi saranash1,

Answer choice (D) is not a Mistaken Negation--the problem is that (D) cannot be diagrammed with the exact same conditions, as it introduces new information.

Answer choice (D) provides that a person can learn to notice even involuntary actions and can come to control them. That weakens Marianne's argument that she should not be held responsible for involuntary humming.

I hope that's helpful--please let me know whether this is clear--thanks!
