Hello. I'm about to purchase some books and was hoping to buy some second hand. I was wondering if I should prioritize purchasing the new edition (2022) books. I want to achieve the most effective results but I'm really strapped financially so I want to know if using the second hand option (2020 version) would be alright for the upcoming August LSAT. Thank you.

Hi annie20968,

Thank you for the post! While we recommend that you purchase the most recent 2022 versions to get the most out of your studies, it is not necessary to do so since the 2020 editions are still fine to use. :)

There were not radical changes made to the 2022 Bibles. The 2022 Bibles were updated to account for the new “3+1” test format. We also updated the Bibles to reflect changes to the testing interface, and all three books were adjusted to account for taking the exam at home. But this does not change the overall test methodology, so you’ll simply want to disregard any mentions of the older “4-scored, 1 experimental” test format, and you will want to disregard mentions of taking the test at an in-person location.

Thank you!

Hello,

Thank you annie20968 and Julie for the question and answer/recommendation. I also bought the 2020 version Bibles and was conflicted as to whether I could use them or cough out $200+ for more books. This allowed me to give a sigh of relief.

However, I am wondering though, whether I could purchase the current/2022 Workbooks or would that be confusing? Would the workbook align with the Bibles?

Thanks for your advice.

Hi Nicole!

Yes, the 2022 Workbooks are fully compatible with any of the Bible editions 2020 through 2022. :)

Thanks!
