As September's LSATs conclude, test takers throughout the US and Canada naturally wonder what to make of their experience, and are eager to hear more about the experiences of others. To aid in that, this thread allows you to provide general feedback about your test, and will serve as a one-stop repository for all of the details that PowerScore users submit.

This information can then help you better predict your own scoring outcomes, and determine whether to keep or cancel your score (although these days you rarely should cancel since only your highest score matters). For more assistance on making that decision, please visit: The Ultimate LSAT Scoring Guide: Should You Keep or Cancel?

Here is LSAC's note regarding test discussion:

  • REMINDER: Under your Candidate Agreement, you may not discuss the details of any specific LSAT questions at any time. For the September LSAT, general discussion of what sections you had, or how difficult you found a given section, or speculation about which sections were scored or unscored, is prohibited until after 7pm ET, Tuesday, September 12th. Posts that violate these rules will be taken down and may result in disciplinary action from LSAC. Let’s work together to ensure the test is fair to everyone, and not share information before everyone has taken the test.

    Some examples of typical comments:

Okay: the section on Cambodian woodworking really had me second guessing everything.
Over the line: the passage on Cambodian woodworking didn’t count.

Okay: a few of the games had me confused but think I was okay.
Over the line: I had Cambodian woodworking, Fireflies, and rice farming in Iowa so Lithuanian Lithograph Libraries was experimental.

Okay: overall fair test, struggled on a couple of RC passages (damn you polymorphic molecules) but think I was okay hoping for a -2 or -3
Over the line: fair test but struggled on a couple RC passages (polymorphic molecules anyone? Thankfully it didn’t count). Don’t want to take again in October

Over the line: Anyone know if Polygamist Societies in the 1880s was real or experimental?

Over the line: Please tell me that polygon dice game didn’t count

Good luck on the September test!

Note: This thread will continue to update and grow over the coming days, and thus is neither official nor complete while the discussion is ongoing. If you are considering canceling based on the details provided here, give the conversation a day or two as we work to confirm all of the information is accurate.

We're wishing everyone the very best on their LSAT, and can't wait to hear how it went!

Considering Dave is getting a lot of discussion on Twitter re: exam. Would it be possible to include some of the Twitter discussion here? maybe the moderators could copy/paste discussion from Twitter, ongoing issues?

I appreciate you all so much, you're my lifesavers!

Hi cannotion,

Thanks for the post, and great suggestion! The best way to get live updates is via their Twitter accounts (linked below), but we will look into cross-posting any major highlights here!

Some September 9/8 exam updates so far, Per Dave Killoran's Twitter:

As of 2PM ET, about 4,300 people have started the LSAT today, and about 1,700 have finished the test.

The service disruption we saw earlier has now been fixed. That doesn't mean everyone affected is back on track, but it does mean we aren't getting further reports of new problems.

Earlier today, we were seeing a sudden rise in disconnection issues with the LSAT...it looks like Lawhub was having problems.

The issue with Lawhub appears to be resolved, but there is now the issue of returning students to their ongoing LSATs so phone lines are jammed. LSAC says they will be returned with no time lost, although that doesn't account for the major disruption during a life-altering exam.

If you were affected by this LSAT outage, do the following per LSAC:

Exit your current browser and relaunch the test through the Prometric browser to reconnect. You will need to wait for a proctor. You should then rejoin your test where you left off.

Prometric is adding proctors to handle this issue.

LSAC's two phone numbers for this test:

◉ 855-296-7479
◉ 215-966-6640

Updates from the weekend, per Dave Killoran's Twitter:

The LSAT started very rough on Friday but thereafter we saw no further systemic issues.

As of 8PM ET Sunday, about 2,000 people have started the LSAT that day, and about 1,800 finished the test at that time. The last 200 were underway.

As of 7PM ET Saturday, about 7,700 people have started the LSAT that day, and about 6,700 finished the test (two more hours of testing left following this report). LSAC was working with Prometric to adjust some of the proctor responses, like the face-touching warning, but otherwise no systemic issues.

As of 8PM ET Friday, about 6,700 people have started the LSAT that day, and about 5,700 finished the test.

If you had a problem with the test, keep in mind there is a retest day on 9/19 that is used as a last resort. File a complaint with LSAC if needed!
