On the sidebar of p. 261 in Chapter 8, Cause & Effect Reasoning, we read that the concept of sufficient & necessary causes "is discussed in detail on the book website". I cannot find such a discussion, would someone please link me to it?

I note that there is a brief explanation of such causes on p. 268, but I am on the hunt for a much more detailed discussion of this concept.

I have even tried looking elsewhere and this concept does not appear too often in LSAT materials!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey sonnenstrahl,

Thanks for the question! If you look on the book website (the address is provided on page two of the book), under the "Supplements" section, and scroll down to Chapter 8, you'll see a link to an article on Sufficient and Necessary Causes. This is an additional full page of discussion of this concept, which should help to really clarify how they work and how to better understand them.

Thanks again!
