Is C correct because of ln 7-17?

Thanks!

Hi ChicaRosa,

Yep! Particularly 13-17, but you're definitely in the right area of the passage. Good analysis!

I was initially stuck between (C) and (D) and ended up with (D). Is D wrong because although the passage talks about there being "no important distintion between exterior and interior".... the "exterior" begin talked about is the "exterior" of a building...not the "landscape"?

Hi PowerScore,

Can you explain why (E) is wrong? I thought that the mention of "steel" would be a material that is strong and is visually austere.

The problem with answer E, LSAT4Life, is that we have no information in the passage about WHY she used tubular steel! It never says she used it because it was strong, and in fact the passage never even says that it IS strong. It also never says that she used it because of how it interacted visually with other materials, but only that it was part of an environment that was visually austere while meeting the needs of the occupants.

We have to avoid making assumptions about the passage, and rely exclusively on the text. If the passage doesn't clearly answer the question, then it's a wrong answer!
