Why is C the correct answer?

I had a hard time trying to find the answer in the passage because it doesn't mention anything about her work being less knowledeable by the public. The first sentence in the paragraph seems like a contradiction to the correct answer choice.

I chose B because of ln 20-23.

Thanks!

Hi ChicaRosa,

I'm really impressed by how you're working to find the right answer for yourself; you're doing a great job thinking through these questions! On this one, you definitely spotted the critical sentence, which is the first sentence in the passage, which says she's best known for her work with lacquer. That implies that her other work is less well-known than her work with lacquer, and that would include her architectural work - so we can infer that her architectural work is less well-known that at least her lacquer work.

Lines 20-23 don't really talk about a radical shift at all, so C is by far the better answer here.

Hope that helps!
