Hi Powerscore,

Can someone explain why A is incorrect? I got rid of B because I found "complete" body of work too strong. Why is B correct?

Hi lunsandy,

The problem with Answer Choice (A) really boils down to the last paragraph of Passage B. The author of Passage B claims that this "anthology" is the basis for Finnegan's Wake which leads you, of course, to the first question and first answer for the passage. But that's a big trick on the LSAC's part.

Remember that you have to go back and compare that opinion to Passage A. And Passage A tells us at line 25 that the anthology is specifically NOT an earlier draft of Finnegan's Wake. It is independent from that works and something to be considered for its insight into his complete (from Ulysses to FW) works. That's why Answer Choice (B) is the better answer here.

Thanks for the great question!
