Hello! Could you explain to me why D would be wrong. I do understand why B is correct, but D also seems to make sense as well.

Answer (D) in this question is a tricky one. The problem with (D) is that it mentions differences in the treatment of nature rather than a difference in how two views interpret the Luminists' treatment of nature.

In other words, (D) might describe two different groups of painters who depicted nature differently. In this passage, we just have one group of painters, but then get two viewpoints (the accepted view and the author's view) on how their treatment of nature should be interpreted.
