Hi there,

Could someone please explain to me why A is a better answer choice than B? I''m having trouble with the idea of "qualifying" a thesis in choice B.

Thanks,

Rachael

Generally when we think of qualifications, we think of skill sets--what it takes to be suited to a given task or position. In this context, however, if a thesis is qualified, that actually means that it is restricted or limited in some way.
