This question has ruined my 4th of July. I understand why the correct answer is (B) - and I actually chose it as the correct answer - but I had a very difficult time ruling out (D). Don't lines 51-55 in the fourth paragraph say that "drugs that.....interact with neurotransmitters other than serotonin" have the effect of causing carb cravings?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this....

Hi Cecilia,

I hope you were still able to enjoy the 4th a little bit!

As for your question, take another look at the lines you referenced:

"...drugs that block serotonin...or interact with neurotransmitters other than serotonin...often induce carb craving.

So, the with regard to drugs that interact with neurotransmitters other than serotonin, they are not necessarily blocking transmission.

Subtle! answer choice B, on the other hand, is confirmed by lines 12-14.

Good question--let me know whether this clears that one up--thanks!

Thank you very, very much Steve. After staring at it for several hours, a co-lsat pal and I came to the same conclusion but weren't sure. That really was a slight difference! Thanks again.
