Hi,

I have a quick question on the difference between 'can' and 'do' in LSAT.
In your explanation on question 4, you stated that answer choices (C) and (E) are the same.
But I noticed there is a subtle difference between the two, when compared:

(C) If people know for certain whether their actions are legal, they can feel secure.
(E) Of people know for certain whether their actions are legal, they feel secure. (and I understood this as people do feel secure.

Should they be treated as the same in LSAT?

Thank you so much! :)

Hi Harry,

It's not that "can" and "do" should be treated the same on the LSAT; my reference there is to the fact that both are Mistaken Negations, and thus contain the identical error :-D

Subtleties in language do often make a difference in whether answers are right or wrong, so your attention to detail here will serve you well going forward.

Thanks!
